Rajko Blažić
RAJKO D. BLAZIC, born 1967 in Cacak, Serbia.
1986 — 1992 studied at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Serbia. He noticed his artistic talent when he was 25.
1998 graduated from the Academy of Arts in Cetinje, Montenegro, in professor Pavle Pejovic's class, in the Department for Sculpture. Graduated as first in his generation.
1 June 1996 — 31 December 1998 along with the studies at the Academy, user of a Maniro — Co. scholarship, the highest granted scholarship in the world so far ( €100,000.00 per year)
2000/01 employed at the Academy of Arts and Conservation SOC. During the first year he started teaching his own course called Sculpting.
2001— 2003 , with God's help, restored the grave of St. Sava in Milesevi monastery
2005 in Lesje monastery constructed the first relief stone mass pillars in the history of SOC arts. During this period he introduced a new decorative sculpting material — relief stone masses. The Academy of Arts SOC is the only Academy in Europe where it is taught as a subject. Rajko's stone works can be found in medieval Serbian monasteries from 13th, 14th and 15th century.
2008 wrote a coursebook (in accordance with the Bologna process regulations) for basic academic studies for the subject Processing materials, Methodology of working with sculpting materials (stone, stone masses, clay and plaster) published by the Academy SOC
2009 wrote a coursebook Relief stone masses with sculpture restoration, published by the Academy SOC
Rajko has been working as a docent at the Arts College in Belgrade, Serbia (within the Academy of Arts and Conservation SOC).
